Frosty

While most Rankin/Bass specials are stop motion "Animagic", this was traditionally cell animated. The reason was because Rankin and Bass wanted it to have the feel of a Christmas card come to life.

Polar Express

When the engineer and fireman try to grab the pin necessary for the trains throttle, a working flux capacitor is visible in the background. It's a reference to Back to The Future, and could mean the Polar Express is a functioning time machine.

The costume department had 17 undershirts in various stages of degradation on hand for Bruce Willis.

This film was completed eight days ahead of schedule and $50,000 under budget. Director Mitchell Leisen attributed this to the professionalism of Barbara Stanwyck.

There are many references to Die Hard (1988), including a character who likes to imitate Hans Gruber, the music to Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th Symphony, and characters singing Run-D.M.C.'s "Christmas in Hollis."

Released in 2019, Klaus is an animated Christmas film that tells the story of a postman named Jesper who befriends a toymaker named Klaus. The film was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 92nd Academy Awards, receiving recognition for its stunning animation.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

A $27 million budget, to be exact. Which was particularly high considering that the film had no special effects  "Ghostbusters" (which was made for $30 million). It had no trouble making its budget back; the film’s final gross was $71,319,526.
